When I was asked to give SERAZIM the opportunity to breed CMK mares, I was very honored. I knew his record as an international sire of top race horses and endurance horses and had loved him ever since our first encounter. However, I had no idea what a unique personality was coming to live with us.SERAZIM has a story that defines the "Versitile Arabian" and I would like to share it with you.SERAZIM was born in British Columbia, Canada. As a baby he became the best buddy and life-long companion of Nadine Phillips. As a yearling he won the, Canadian National Exhibition Halter Stallion championship, judged by Pete Cameron. Growing up in Canada, Serazim was shown Show Hack, Hunter Pleasure, Costume, & Halter, ridden on Trails and even got to "chase" some cows.
Although all of this was "fun", Serazim got bored with showing and tried to tell Nadine that he wanted to end his show career. One day, at a show, Serazim took things into his own "hooves". He had won his Show Hack Class that day and was called to receive his trophy and ribbon. He trotted out of the line-up, made a sharp turn away from the judge, ran down to the end of the arena, jumped out and ran home. His way of saying, "NO MORE"!!! At age 8, even though he was breeding a full compliment of mares, Serazim was given the chance to race. In typical style, he also won in that "arena".
Serazim raced only 2 times before his awsome talent as a breeding stallion was recognized and he was "retired" to the breeding shed. Today, Serazim continues to sire lovely foals that are sought after by horsemen who search for world-class competitors & performance horses - like their dad!!!
