One day in 1998, I received a phone call from Dr. David Ward asking if I would like to stand FARLANES PRIDE+/ at stud.  I jumped at the chance, knowing just how special an offer had been made.  This was an opportunity that would not come my way again.  I am a firm believer in things happening as and when they are supposed to happen.  When a decision is right, details seem to fall into place in some sort of a pre-ordained manner.  Synchronicity, a friend calls it.  What I know for sure is that from the day PRIDE arrived he occupied a very special place in my heart.  He watches each morning for me to come out of the door.  He starts to "talk" the minute he sees me.  He breeds beautiful foals and befriends all who visit.  He is a special friend to little children, putting his head down low so they can pet his face.  His paddock is placed so he can see all the other horses on the farm.  This is just fine with him.  This is his home.

I want to use this special page to introduce you to PRIDE, his wonderful CMK bloodlines, his credentials and some of his special children.  We hope there will be much more to share in the times yet to come.  If you own a FARLANES PRIDE+/ son or daughter we would love to hear about them.  Send a picture and a story and we will place it on "PRIDES PAGE".
